Winning in Gateshead

Lib Dems won in yesterday's byelection for Gateshead council, Whickham North ward.
The election saw a 6.5% swing from Labour to the Liberal Democrats.
The full results were:
Liberal Democrat (Susan Craig): 902 (64.6%, +6.7%)
Labour: 285 (20.4%, -6.3%)
Conservative: 137 (9.8%, +0.9%)
Green Party: 72 (5.2%, -1.3%)
