Lib Dem gain in Sacriston

The Lib Dems gained a seat on Sacriston Parish Council yesterday in a byelection with only two parties standing.
The result was:
Liberal Democrats (Andy Przybysz): 219 (53%)
Green Party: 193 (47%)
Liberal Democrat GAIN from Independent
Turnout: 11.25%
Congratulations to new Councillor Przybysz and the local team and thank you to everyone who gave him their support at the polls.
